Hello Everyone, I thought I would make a post as everyone deserves it.

Ashes has been wonderful, over a year of pleasure ( and pain).

But i want to leave you without any doubt. Ashes is over.

It has been a really good run, and we made some fantastic progress. Most of all of course some fantastic friends. Such a good community of people, the laughs in guild channel oh my!

An inactive alt of mine has become guild leader. I will begin removal of people later today.

For those that care the guild bank items will be auctioned off and split between all active officers. Which i will post out as soon as possible.


This is very sad Please anyone that wishes to add me as a friend do! I wish to keep in contact with you all x x


For those looking for a reason, it just got too hard. Too much. 2 years of leading 2 guilds. Stone guard and then ashes. I would like to be led for a while, not turn up to something maybe, be a total cow without consequence! oh the possibilities are endless.

P.S Ventrillo is free for anyone to use for anything for the next few months no matter what the game.

There has been a change to the way sign ups for raids work.

From now on raid sign ups will be locked from 24 hours before the raid meaning no one can sign up and no one can unsign.

If you are unable to make the raid and it has already been locked, leave a comment on that raid page. Equally, if you suddenly discover you are available to come to a raid but have not signed up before the lockout, leave a comment saying you are available.

We are hoping this is going to stop people unsigning just before a raid without saying anything.

What? :Now we are offering the chance for that dream to come true! Our latest competition will result in one of you lucky people having your very own sleepy willy figurine. Our guilds mascot, and much loved pet is yours simply by entering.

Why? : Our upgraded ventrillo system and guild website are loving paid for by myself and the lovely Goretag/Taliron. However it adds up, and this will be our second competition to raise money to help maintain these systems we use so often. Our last competition raised enough money to fund both for 3 months, so i would like to beat that!

Terms:

-To enter you need to click the paypal button at the bottom of the page ( on the left).
- One entry per person -A MINIMUM ( means you can give more ) of £5 (( appx $8.30 or 5.45 Euros)) per person.
- A non-participating guild member will be grouped with, shown the numbers assigned to each entrant and then witness the roll of the dice.
- The winner will be sent an official limited edition Sleeping willy figure worth £25 by recorded delivery within 7 working days.

So we continued Ulduar, heres how it went.

This is us getting ready, quite a few forgot stuff so thanks to Sindor we had repairs and reagents plus a mail box for those that forgot to collect the stuff they bought before.

So we went down and tried Auriaya, not expecting much, people died some got ressed, more died and then this happened...



Yes we got her down first time, then we decided Hodir would be the next boss to try, we then proceeded to wipe several times on trash (god dam worms and pats). Then we got to Hodir wiped twice (i think) then we got him down.



Unfortunately I forgot to screenshot it, so i have recreated the scene for you, I doubt you can even tell its not a screenshot.

We then decided on moving to Freya, we all decided it was a lovely area and we were all going to live there from now on. So we down the mini bosses, killed the pats, no wipes here, we are getting better at trash.

We got to Freya herself, didnt manage to down the lot in the first phase, the second phase started aswell and then the third, so we have everything up at once and we wiped.

So we ran back talked about what we should be doing and tried again and it went super smooth.


Once again I forgot to take screenshots just after it happened, but here is a screenshot of us stood around after. And Seila got a box with lots of alchemy stuff which was nice.

A very successful run, so big gratz to everyone that came, hopefully we will be recreating it next week aswell.

So after the negative start to the evening , with not enough people turning up to ulduar for various reasons and the general lack of dedication from some members over the last few weeks, we had a very positive night in Ulduar.

We ended up with a couple of people or alts that hadn't been before and a PUG who has now applied for the guild, we got down 6 bosses with only a couple of little mistakes. It was a very positive, smooth and enjoyable run, certainly from my perspective and those I have spoken to.

So tonight will be our first progression night in Ulduar for a while so hopefully tomorrow I will be posting several screen shots of us downing the next few bosses.

The Future

So we've been through a bad patch with a lack of raiding and progression over the last couple of months but last night was a step in the right direction, we've got some catching up to do with other guilds but I know we can do it. So if you are dedicated to this guild like myself, sign up for stuff, come to the fun events get to know your fellow guildies and then 'pwn' some bosses with your friends! Because that's what we are first, friends, i would rather fail a hundred times with you lot and finally get a boss down than jump to a guild that's already done the work. Come on guys lets do this together!
